For Better Or For Wurst A rollercoaster love affair with an enigmatic German football team |

For Better Or For Wurst is Jon Goulding's first 'proper' book. After following the fortunes of the historical but enigmatic German football team 1.FC Nürnberg for 10 years, Jon decided to write a book about it all. In October 2005 he was joined on a trip to Nuremberg by a group of friends and as a direct result of a wonderful long weekend in the beautiful Franconian city (and despite the fact that they saw 1.FCN lose), a British fan club was formed. Since then many more weekends have been spent in Germany supporting the team and having a fine time drinking beer and eating sausages. For Better Or For Wurst not only details the adventures of the fan club 1FCNUK but also provides an insight into Germany and German football culture. For Better Or For Wurst by Jon Goulding will be published in August his year. |
